The RAW Events
— With the big triple threat match announced during the week for the WWE Title set for Backlash, what do we have in store for tonight’s RAW to set things up? And on a bigger note, will Raw get any better from the previous dull weeks? I got a few interesting emails this past week regarding last Monday’s show and future plans that would be great to see. So to those of you who wrote, THANK YOU. Let’s me know people are reading, so keep up the email guys, it helps!

Hosts: Joey Styles, King and The Coach

The MAIN Events
– RVD vs. Rob Conway
Mr. Money in the bank makes his way with the briefcase (probably cashing it in at “Another One Night Stand”). And the ‘cool’ Shelton walks out to enjoy the match. RVD takes early control and gets the spinning heel kick on the outside off the apron. Rolling thunder, and then soon after the Five Star Frog Splash connects. During commentary, Shelton announces that he will be challenging RVD for the briefcase at Backlash. RVD accepts after the match but with the stipulation of the IC title on the line.
Winner: Rob Van Dam (2)

World Tag Team Title Match: Big Show & Kane vs. The Spirit Squad
I’m thinking they are not going to hot shot the titles of SS right away due to some interference from the new voices in Kane’s head. Big Show dominates from the get go, killing SS and leaving hand prints from the slaps in one of the guys (ouch). Kane gets tagged and dominates for a while too, until SS gets some offense finally. Show comes back in and cleans house as we go to break. Back in, SS is back on the upper hand using the speed attack on the two big men. Kane gets back up and starts to go ballistic throwing in chairs into the ring, getting the DQ from the ref. Chokeslam on the ref as Show tries to calm Kane down. But Kane pushes Show off and the shove is returned. Each man tries to chokeslam each other and Kane is the one to hit it off.
Winner: The Spirit Squad (3)

– Umaga vs. Jobber
Well you know this is a quick squash, why say more. The thumb in the neck wins it.
Winner: Umaga (5)

WWE Women’s Title Match: Mickey James vs. Maria
This match is just great on its own cuz we get to see Maria in a wrestling outfit. SO for your viewing pleasure, I present you with…
Oh and Trish Stratus comes out dressed up as Mickey James, giving us a nice view of Trish’s tight little black thong! And this time, Trish kisses Mickey. Hmmm, interesting.
Winner: (4)

– Edge vs. HHH & John Cena
Edge and Cena start of the match with Edge getting the jump and a near quick fall with a two! Edge stomps away as a small (not as big as last week) “Cena sucks” chant. Match spills outside still giving Edge the advantage, but just as soon as things get inside, Cena takes control. Blind tag from HHH as he picks up the fallen pieces. A little help from Lita gets Edge back on his feet against HHH. Edge misses the spear, as HHH picks up the tag as Cena gets the momentum and hits the five knuckle shuffle! FU is set up but HHH pulls him down and gets the pedigree. Cena hits the FU on HHH and locks on the STFU to make Edge tap.
Winner: HHH & John Cena (1)

Quick HEAT
— Edge starts the show with some massive heel heat on him (nice). And the Rated R Superstar is back where he belongs in the title hunt with a triple threat title match at Backlash against HHH and John Cena (boos). Edge pronounces that the champ is here!! This prompts out Cena to another semi- boo. The real champ is now here because he has the WWE title. Edge says that he has a hate-hate relationship with the crowd while Cena actually cares what they think, and they still boo him! Cena says that they want to see a different side of him, a black, evil, a little bit sexual and here’s been there and done that and… he backs off from going that route, afraid he’s afraid he’ll end up like Edge. But he just doesn’t give a f*ck. And he doesn’t want a nickname like the “King of Kings” (which sucks by the way) and out comes HHH with his new theme. HHH says that no one will ever confuse Cena with him. And now HHH has beaten them all since he beat Cena in the ring last week. John tries to pull some joke and tells H that he doesn’t like him, but respects him. Why does everyone say that? Edge interrupts saying that he doesn’t care who he has to go through, he will walk out champ. HHH says that he got a call from Vince himself about the main event saying that it will be Edge vs. HHH & Cena. Edge complains that this is only happening because they know he is the biggest threat of the match. HHH holds up Cena for a while, extending the hand and Cena instead slaps HHH across the face. 21 minute intro!

— Mickey James is interviewed by Maria (HOT) backstage. One thing leads to another and Maria will be Mickey’s first title defense opponent.

— They promote Kane’s new movie “See No Evil” and backstage Kane is going crazy with ‘voices’ in his head calling out “May 19th, its happening again, you know what happened”? Ok.

— Cena is interviewed about tagging with HHH. But doesn’t care if he has to make either HHH or Edge tap out.

— Vince and Shane are at Church looking for “god”. Vince complains that they take cash only instead of credit. Vince thinks the holy water is to wash his hands, but does the HHH spit instead. Shane looks appalling back at his father. Vince calls out for “god” as he compares himself with him. For example, “god” shot down the devil, Vince shot down Ted Turner and WCW. Vince announces his commandments. While Shane recites a prayer and stops it saying this is getting weird. Way past that Shane-O-Mac. Vince says that if he is wrong against going against HBK that “god” should strike him down where he stands (and Shane steps away). Thunder rolls in the background… so I’m guessing Vince is now officially the devil. All I can say is… yeah… um… ok… um… yeah. New low huh?

— AAE is in the ring acting like an angry Cuban as he announces Umaga.

— Crap, I forgot all about the whole Carlito/Masters feud. Carlito says he went on a diet, getting rid of the dead weight of Masters (true). Masters walks out and then all of a sudden we start talking about who screwed who. Um, is there suppose to be a hidden message here? Carlito wants to try and break the masterlock, yawn. Carlito is the smart one here and smacks the ssstteeeelll chair across Masters face. Carlito’s new shirt is the best thing I saw out of this segment: “Do you spit or swallow?” HAHA.

— Recap of Chavo quitting last week. JR will interview Chavo next week.

RAW Analysis
— What to say, what to say? Seriously, I’m not sure if this was better or worst than last week. Just for the fact that they did make the triple threat title scene a bit interesting, but at the same time I don’t like the fact that their making Edge look like the jobber in this feud. I know it’s against the odds, but I’m really hoping Edge pulls this out to win the title somehow, because last week they job him out to HHH, and now this week to Cena. Sigh. I like the RVD/ Shelton gig, but then here comes the Vince/”god” angle. Which is, yeah… read the Quick Heat recap on that one and just insert here. So for every good this week, they cancel it out with a bad. I’m pulled even here. Again, for those of you who want to discuss where to go from here or my thoughts, drop me a line and I’ll get back to you, lemme know what you think. Till the EVENT, I’m out, peace.
