Some quick thoughts on ‘American Idol’ this week. I didn’t like the performances that much this week. Maybe something to do with the fact that the contestants were singing songs that everyone know and love. The original artists of the songs did such a great job..that anyone else doing them..doesn’t compare! That simple really. And Kevin..I have no clue who that girl was at the beginning. I have never seen her in my life. She actually looked like Katharine’s younger sister if she has one. So I can’t help you. Anyways..Kellie is gone from the show and everything is back right with that show! I don’t care who wins now as I can handle any of the remaining five contestants. That is something I couldn’t say about any of the previous seasons. For predictions..well I still go with a guy and it’s probably Chris or Taylor. But Katharine should be there in the end, though. I like Chris the best!
Oh..and speaking of voting for people..I voted for Guy to win on the ‘Next Food Network Star’ and he won! Yay! Too bad I will probably forget to watch his show when it comes out, since it airs on the weekends. But that’s what TiVo is for, though. So we will see.

Time to Talk a.k.a. A Winner is Crowned!!
It’s over with! The tournament is done! The results are in for the final round! Which show is the “best” on television? Well..lets get to the results!
#2. – ’24’ – 28
#12. – ‘My Name is Earl’ – 12
So there you go..’24’ is your winner. No surprise there. ‘My Name is Earl’ was just not good enough to beat ’24’. But no shame in losing to that show. ‘Earl’ did beat ‘Lost’ and ‘The Sopranos’ and ‘Survivor’ and ‘The Shield’ and ‘The Simpsons’! Look at that list again. Some great and extremely popular shows. All of them were on the air longer than ‘Earl’. Yet..this “rookie” show beat them all to make it the finals. Impressive.
Now let me talk about ’24’. It beat ‘E.R.’, ‘Veronica Mars’, ‘The Office’, and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ before it beat ‘Earl’. Some would say that is not as impressive as ‘Earl’, but the fact is that ’24’ DOMINATED in this tournament. It was one of the shows to beat and no one could do it. So it deserves to be considered as the “Best Show on Television”.
Now I would like to thank everyone who voted in my little tournament. I had a large turnout in the beginning. Many more than I expected and I appreciate every vote. I noticed that the number of voters decreased in almost every round of the tournament. But I contribute that to the fact that personal favorites of certain people got knocked out in each round and I can understand that if you don’t watch any of the shows left in the tournament..it’s hard to vote for them. But overall..I thought the participation from everyone was great. I appreciate every vote as I said. And hopefully..when my creative juices get refueled..I can do something like this again. Or maybe not.
Anyways I would really like to know what everyone thought of this tournament. Was it a good idea or one that should be flushed down the toilet?! Any comments on the either ’24’ winning or ‘My Name is Earl’ shocking some “big” shows or anything else about the tournament are welcome! Without your support..it would have been nothing. So thanks again!
That’s all I got this week. Look for me to talk about something new next week and not having anything to do with “March Madness” or tournaments or TV..wait..scratch that last one. It HAS to be about TV..so TV it will be!
