The Houston Texans shocked EVERYONE tonight by announcing the signing of NC State defensive end Mario Williams. Williams, therefore, will be the top pick in tomorrow’s draft. Williams had 14 1/2 sacks for the Wolfpack last season.
It had long been considered a fait accompli that the Texans would be drafting USC running back Reggie Bush with the top pick, but now it is certain that will not happen.
The Saints own the number 2 pick in tomorrow’s draft. They may select Bush, or they may choose to trade the pick, or they may even select Virginia offensive lineman D’Brickashaw Ferguson. That means that Bush could end up going to Tennessee, or even to the NY Jets with the #4 pick.
Actually, at this point, Reggie Bush could wind up anywhere. We’ll just have to wait and see.
