Dave Scherer at PWInsider.com has recently added his confirmation that the Booker T vs. Dave Batista incident was indeed a shoot.
Additional details from Dave’s report:
– Tension had been brewing for some time between the two, stemming from how Booker felt Batista was handling being quickly pushed into a top slot.
– Fellow wrestlers seem to agree with Booker in the situation, and apparently “high-fives” were exchanged.
– WWE posted the news on their site to make sure it didn’t get out to other wrestling sites/dirtsheets first (and with the Kane movie premiere that night, it was likely to get out sooner rather than later), and may in fact turn it into a storyline for Batista’s upcoming return.
