One fan’s recent conversation with Christy Hemme went awry at a local Chilli’s after TNA’s last PPV.
“We were talking about American Idol, and she was saying that she couldn’t believe Chris was voted off,” said the fan. “I said, ‘Yeah, it’s the biggest travesty since the Supreme Court gave the presidency to George W.’ She looked really confused for a second, then told me she thought the president was George Bush. I said, ‘Yeah. George W.’ She said, ‘No, George Bush.’ I pointed out that W was his middle initial, and she kind of nodded and smiled but I could tell she still didn’t get it. I told her his middle name was Walker, and she said, ‘Why? Does he like to walk a lot?’ I sorta chuckled politely, thinking she was making a joke, but then I looked at her and she was really upset. I stopped laughing immediately and told her that his parents named him Walker, but she just said ‘Oh,’ and walked away. I felt pretty lousy about it for a minute but then Lance bought everybody a round and it was cool.”
