[MISC] Wrestling on TV News Including ECW

Archive

– In what could be a great step forward for the ECW brand re-launch, WrestlingObserver.com is reporting that the NBC Universal owned Sci-Fi Network — sister station to USA Network — is preparing a press release to announce that ECW will be on the network beginning in mid-to-late June, with a weekly show. According to the Observer, the press release will still need to be approved by Vince or Linda McMahon, and the news is possibly going to be made official next week. PWInsider.com separately says that there’s still a chance it will end up on USA, but either way, negotiations have indeed been confirmed and things are looking close.

– Also from the Observer, the CW Network’s official fall line-up confirms Smackdown will be staying in the Friday 8 p.m. slot.

– Finally, the Observer has reported that Galavision’s 2006-2007 TV line-up includes Lucha Libre at 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sundays.
