Due to my sheer laziness I wasn’t able to get this up earlier, let alone send my stuff into the Judgment Day Roundtable. It’s currently 12 AM Monday Morning and I’m only just starting this. My bad.

Opening Contest: Paul Burchill verses Simon Dean
Dean shoves Burchill first, before Burchill twists on the finger and flips Dean over. Burchill turns it into a wristlock and Dean tries to escape the hold, with Burchill keeping it locked after a hiptoss, Dean gets to the ropes. Dean gets a low kick to Burchill and whips Burchill into the corner, into the other corner Burchill flips out onto the apron and elbows Dean and sends him into the top turnbuckle. Over the top rope with a leg drop on Dean. Burchill fails at the C-4 an gets sent into the corner, where Dean capitalizes with a spear before nailing a knee drop to the shoulder of Burchill. Burchill gets sent into the ropes and comes back into a kitchen sink. Dean gets a reverse bearhug; Burchill gets to his feet and elbows Dean off of him and bounces off the ropes with a sunset flip over Dean, but Dean won’t go down and sort of dropkicks Burchill’s hands! Nicely done, you really need to see it to get what I mean though. Two count for Dean. Dean steps on the face of Burchill and pushes down and picks Burchill up in a nifty (jinkies) abdominal stretch variation before sending Burchill into the ropes. Dean goes for a kick to the midsection but Burchill catches it and nails an elbow drop to the thigh. Dean goes for another spear in the corner but Burchill gets a knee to the face of Dean. Burchill with clotheslines and a twisting fisherman’s suplex for a two count. Burchill goes up top and jumps off with a Moonsault which misses! Dean goes into his bad, as does Burchill! Burchill brings out a flask and the referee gets Dean’s bag off of him, and Burchill spits the drink into Dean’s face, C-4 and it’s over!
Winner: Paul Burchill

Outside of a few sloppy moments, which in fairness where made up for in some pretty nice original moments, this was a pretty good match. Not spectacular though, but good enough. I’d like to see these two get given some more time together; Six out of Ten.

Still to come: Psicosis verses Gregory Helms.

Second Contest: Jamie Noble and Kid Kash verses Chris Roman and Russel Simpson
Kash and Noble attack to start and .. you do know about their new dog collars gimmick, don’t you? .. Either way; they attack to start, and double team one of their opponents with a double elbow before barking at them. Right. Noble and Roman start off and as Noble trips Roman, he tags out to Simpson. Simpson in to a drop toe hold by Noble, who tags out to Kash and Simpson nails them both with elbows before Kash and Noble trip Simpson and Kash attacks the face. Kick to the back and Kash gets a one count, broken by Roman. Tag out to Noble. Simpson off the ropes into a double team shoulder block, getting Noble a one count. Noble with a neckbreaker for a one count. Tag out to Kash and Simpson gets double chops by Kash and Noble. Kash kicks away at Simpson. Simpson gets a few punches in but Kash gets a backbreaker for a one count, broken by Roman. Tag out to Noble, who scoop slams Simpson, followed by a leg drop for one. Rear choke hold applied by Noble; as Simpson gets to his feet, Noble sends Simpson face first into his knee. Tag out to Kash who gets a kick right to the chest. Simpson gets some punches in, followed by a poke to the eye. Kash whipped into the opponent’s corner, where Roman nails a cheap shot to Kash who gets clotheslined down by Simpson for a two count. Tag out to Roman who comes in with clotheslines to Kash, scoop slam, and Roman misses some elbow drops before Kash tags out to Noble. Noble with forearms to both opponents, Roman off the ropes into a nice vaulting leg to the throat, kick to Simpson, and Noble nails that sweet as double knee gutbuster of his! One, Two, pinfall broken by Simpson! Noble off the ropes, ducks a clothesline and comes back with Kash for their clothesline / spear combo! Tag out to Kash as Noble puts Roman in a powerbomb position and Kash nails a top rope clothesline for the victory!
Winners: Jamie Noble and Kid Kash

Too many tags for my liking between Noble and Kash, and I really don’t care much for this new Dog Collar gimmick even though I do think it will help them get them more over, since it really brings out their rough and tough side. But apart from that what we had here was a better than average squash. Two out of Ten.

Third Contest: Vito and Nunzio verses Scotty Too Hotty and Funaki
So they’re trying to convince us that Vito’s a tranny … With those shoulders?! And that nose? Yeah right. Nunzio and Funaki start off; Lock up and Nunzio gets a headlock, Funaki escapes but Nunzio yells at the referee about his hair, before he pulls Funaki using is hair back into the headlock. Funaki sends Nunzio off into the ropes, Funaki lays on the ground and Nunzio misses an elbow drop as Funaki gets an armlock and sends Nunzio down before tagging out to Hotty, who comes in with a kick to Nunzio. The two exchange armlocks and Hotty gets Nunzio in a headlock, off the ropes and he ducks under Nunzio before posing and nailing Nunzio with a few hiptosses, getting Hotty a two. Nunzio takes Hotty into the corner and kicks away on Hotty, before Hotty begins to punch back and sets Nunzio up for the Worm, and hits it! One, Two, Vito breaks up the pinfall even though Nunzio had his hand on the bottom rope. Vito gets a cheap shot to Hotty before he tags out to Vito, who jumps in and almost gets a three count on Hotty. Vito for a clothesline for another almost three count. Vito with a hard scoop slam on Hotty, upto the second turnbuckle and off with a leg drop that misses Hotty, who tags out to Funaki. Funaki gets tripped quickly by Vito, who nails a fair few punches before nailing the “Forget About It”, a spinning inverted DDT, for the three count .. Wait, what?
Winners: Vito and Nunzio

Certainly nothing I cared for about this match except for the Forget About It. -Two out of Ten.

Main Event: Gregory Helms verses Psicosis
I’d have thought this would have been on SmackDown. Hm. Lock up and Helms goes behind and sends Psicosis into the corner, before running to the other corner. Lock up and Helms gets a hammer lock, Psicosis with a snapmare and a hip toss before Helms cowers in the corner. Helm gets a kick to the gut before a fireman’s carry, misses an elbow drop and Psicosis flips Helms over in an arm drag, Helms jumps up only to get another arm drag. Psicosis with a dropkick, Helms gets up at the ropes and Psicosis goes for another dropkick but Helms moves and Psicosis falls out of the ring. Helms slams Psicosis’ face into the apron before he sets Psicosis up on it and gets a kick to the shoulder. Helms with a NICE double arm reverse DDT variation for almost a two count. Helms locks in the sleeper hold, Psicosis begins to escape before Helms locks up for a suplex, but Psicosis nails it! Psicosis gets a boot to the face to Helms, jumping off the second turnbuckle with a spinning heel kick. Psicosis off the ropes with another spinning heel kick before he nails a spinning crossbody to Helms on the outside. Back inside, Psicosis jumps off the top rope with a crossbody for a two count. Helms goes up top but Psicosis knocks him off and stands on the second turnbuckle and punches Helms while he is on the apron, before Helms grabs the head of Psicosis and jumps off – sending Psicosis throat first into the top rope. Helms nails the Eye Of The Hurricane for the victory!
Winner: Gregory Helms

Well gee, that was kind of sudden. Could have been really good if they were given ten minutes instead of the four they were given. Five out of Ten.

So this week’s Velocity stands at;
Paul Burchill verses Simon Dean: 6/10
Kash and Noble verses Simpson and Roman: 2/10
Vito and Nunzio verses Hotty and Funaki: -2/10
Gregory Helms verses Psicosis: 5/10
Velocity 20/05/06: 11/40
