No disciplinary action has been taken over the recent backstage physical altercation between Batista and Booker T. Booker had been upset with Batista ever since Batista gave an interview in early 2005, while still with the Raw brand, that criticised the Smackdown brand for not showing enough commitment to their work. Some feel that this comment was made tongue-in-cheek, playing up the Raw vs. Smackdown rivalry WWE wanted to promote, while some feel it was Triple H’s influence on Batista beginning to show. Booker remains more popular backstage, with Batista seen as somewhat aloof, although he is known to be shy with people he doesn’t know particularly well. There are still plenty in the company who feel that the whole thing is a work, mainly due to the embellished report posted on WWE.com, which in any event has yet to be referenced on TV.
Randy Orton is scheduled to return onthe 13th June show in Trenton.
Paul Burchill is wrestling with a bad knee and may take some time off soon – though for obvious reasons this probably won’t happen until after the Pirates of the Caribbean movie comes out.
