Francine’s bio was accidentally removed, along with John Cena’s and Torrie Wilson’s, from ECW.com/WWE.com this morning, but they are all back on. Axl Rotten’s has been removed and has not been replaced, which may have something to do with him missing a recent RAW and cryptic messages on his MySpace account.
Even though ECW.com has bios posted for C.W. Anderson and Francine, who have yet to appear on ECW television this year, bios are not up for the following people who were a part of ECW One Night Stand or the SCI FI debut:
Kelly the Exhibitionist
Ref John Finnegan
Ref Mike Posey
For ECW’s full, initial, roster (according to Inside Pulse), check out our transactions history log here.
Although the World Title History has not been updated to include Rob Van Dam’s Championship, ECW.com has been adding content, including a commentary section and photos.
In Joey Styles’ first commentary, he names the “Most Extreme Player of the Week” — similar to Jim Ross’ RAW “Superstar of the Week” pick, and my money’s on Michael Cole adding a similar feature by the weekend for Smackdown — and the first MEP is: THE ZOMBIE!
According to PWInsider, Styles — who used to co-own the old ECW Web site and 1Wrestling.com — wants to have a presence on ECW’s new site, as he loves the online medium.
ECW.com also has posted a kayfabe interview with Paul Heyman that’s a really interesting read. You can find it here.
PWInsider’s reporting that their inside sources are saying that everyone, including Vince (even though he wasn’t going out of his way to admit it), realized that the ECW debut on SCI FI was a bomb despite the rating, and that the pressure is up to deliver next week. The overall vibe backstage is that people tuned in out of curiousity, and will likely do so again on Tuesday, but after that all bets are off.
ECW Notes: ECW is putting most of their live events’ tickets on sale this Saturday … Some shows, however, have been moved or cancelled/postponed: Sunday 6/25 in Belle Vernon, PA, at The Rostraver Garden to Saturday 7/1 (to accomodate for ECW talent needed at Vengeance); Monday 6/26 in Huntington, WV, moved to Sunday 7/2 (ditto); the Saturday 7/1 show in Toms River, NJ, is off; and so far there still has been no announcement of a 7/4 show (rumored to be a live ECW on SCI FI from the ECW Arena) … With Paul Heyman moving to ECW full-time, Greg Gagne has officially started writing OVW TV … several TV trade magazines and Web sites reported on ECW’s great ratings on SCI FI … Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE is hiring a brand manager for ECW to “Develop and manage a street team of FAN EVANGELISTS who can help spread the word and promote brand locally.” Qualifications include five years of brand management, advertising, marketing, publicity or promotional experience with a promotional firm, ad agency, sports team or league, hospitality chain or entertainment company.
