– There is strong talk of a Hardy Boys reunion in a few months time. Jeff was backstage at the Smackdown/ECW taping in Roanoke and is said to be doing much better.

– WWE’s ratings on Canal 52 MX in Mexico are almost as large as AAA and CMLL. Rey Mysterio is as popular as any wrestler in Mexico right now, with John Cena and The Undertaker not far behind. Mysterio is rumoured to be a part of the Raw tour of Mexico in September, the biggest show of which will be at the 48,000 seat Plaza de Toros in Mexico City on the 20th.

– WWE action figures are now available in all major department stores and toy shops in Spain. Smackdown has had six weeks of TV there, averaging 440,000 viewers a week. Wrestling hasn’t been that popular since a boom period in the early ’90s, with Bret Hart as the main draw.

– Chavo Guerrero Sr said recently, speaking to Alex Marvez, that while he was doing home repairs he heard Eddie Guerrero’s voice on an episode of Mad TV from 2004 on Comedy Central. He said “I lost it. I started sobbing for about an hour. It’s painful and still hard, but with my belief in Christ I know that was his calling and that he’s in a better place now.” He also said he was trying to organise a benefit golf tournament in October with WWE wrestlers in order to raise money for Eddie’s three daughters. On the recent storylines involving Eddie he said they “sometimes hurt a little, but they’re remembering him and he’s still drawing. It’s like Elvis. He’s sold more records now than when he was alive. It takes an amazing character who can do that. Plus, it’s giving the Guerreros more work.”
