The following dark matches took place prior to last night’s ECW show:
– Balls Mahoney beat Rene Dupree in the opening dark match. Big pop for Balls; NYC crowd were tough on Dupree and set the tone for the night.
– WWE Tag Team champs Brian Kendrick & Paul London beat the FBI. Decent match, but the WWE Tag Champs were s**t on from a great height by the crowd, with chants of “F**k you Smackdown”.
– CW Anderson beat Shannon Moore. Nobody really cared about this match, and it’s safe to say nobody really can see Moore getting over in ECW with this (or probably any other) gimmick. Moore cut a promo after the match saying he was out to prove he was the best cruiserweight in pro wrestling.
– Stevie Richards beat Roadkill.
