— The August Update: The “first” week of August has officially come and gone… and the effects are starting to kick in. Even though it wasn’t as busy, it started to pick up near the end of the week. Still I’m alive and well despite many setbacks. Ahh, the dog days of summer is upon us… with a special retro history look of SummerSlam.

– Undertaker vs. Randy Orton [2005]
Orton fleas the ring to start off the match as we get Cole and Tazz on commentary. Finally Taker gets his hands on Orton as he slaps him across his face and tosses his to the corner. Shoulder block takedown only gets two! Match fast forwards and Taker takes a big boot to upper right ring post and Orton gets the DDT for another two!

Orton starts to work on the leg of Taker as we flash forward again. Taker is tossed to the ropes and Orton gets a scoop power slam for two! More leg work on the Dead Man as Orton keeps the momentum. As the video jumps again, Taker gets a quick two! But Orton puts up a huge neck breaker for another two, going back and forth.

Flying cross body is hit and reversed into a chokeslam and Bob Orton interferes in the match as Orton takes advantage with an RKO to get the 1-2-3 surprise win over Taker.
Winner: Randy Orton

– Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels [2005]
We start this match off by HBK whaling away on Hogan who’s already wearing the crimson mask. Match fast forwards A LOT during this match as HBK gets the flying forearm and the kick up who goes up top to attempt the elbow drop but misses.

Hogan hulks up, but misses the big boot and hits another forearm, hitting Hulk and the ref. Shawn sets up the sharpshooter and locks it in for quite some time before Hogan finally reaching the ropes. HBK tunes up the band and connects with the sweet chin music for the 1-2- KICK OUT! Hogan starts to hulk up once more and leg drop connects for the win.
Winner: Hulk Hogan

– World Heavyweight Championship Match: Randy Orton vs. Chris Benoit [2004]
Lots of mat wrestling in this one as Orton tries to apply the sharpshooter early on in the match. Benoit finally powers out of it and counters it in his own Sharpshooter before being placed into the crippler cross face as the action spills to the outside.

Benoit is shoved into the outside posts and injures the shoulder. Forward the match and Orton has Benoit in a headlock until Chris chops his way out. RKO is attempted but Benoit quickly breaks out of it and knocks Orton down. Another jump and we get the three consecutive German suplex, plus three more.

Benoit finally connects with the crossface, but Orton fights his way out and reverses his way into an RKO to win his first World Championship.
Winner: Randy Orton

– Hulk Hogan vs. Earthquake [1990]
This is your typical Hogan vs. Big Man match of the 90’s where Earthquake cant be taken down, while he takes Hogan down numerous times. Earthquake dominates the early going of the match where he tries to where him down.

Boss Man is out distracting the ref while Bravo is taking down Hogan before tossing him inside. Earthquake misses an elbow drop inside of the ring giving Hogan to put in a few chops and a rake to the face before trying to the scoop slam. Earthquake is just too heavy for the Hulkster to pick up as Earthquake falls on Hogan to get the two count! Then the match just stops!!! HA, end of HEAT.
Winner: Hulk Hogan

The HEAT Wave
Well this was pretty much a HEAT show based around Hogan and Orton for this year’s SummerSlam, even though it may not even happen at all. But it was better than getting a DIVA recap like last time during the RAW/Smackdown (no HEAT taping) supershow. ANYway, only about 28 more days!!! So watch HEAT to pass by the time till then. So till next time, I’m out, peace.
