Big Brother – Recap – August 8

Another Tuesday with the houseguests.
Previously, Danielle wins Head of Household, a new alliance form, “The Legion of Doom” with Danielle, James, Will and Boogie. The plan is to remove Season 6 (Read: Janelle) from the house. But Danielle puts up James, knowing he’s the Veto King (So he won a couple last year. Big deal.)

Janelle expected to be nominated but was surprised James was nominated as well. Boogie says he was not surprised. James, a member of Legion of Doom, hatched a perfect plan. The plan is to save James and vote out Janelle. James says his reaction at the nomination ceremony was the highlight of his acting career.

Kaysar was shocked James was nominated. Kaysar says he has two of his strongest allies on block. Janelle says she wouldn’t have thought he would have been nominated.

Marcellas tells Danielle that her plan was brilliant. Danielle says it helps her position with Marcellas and that she needs to keep him in the dark as much as possible.

Kaysar still doesn’t believe James was put up as a decoy, saying that James doesn’t like decoy thing. They don’t believe James and Danielle are working together but Janelle is suspicious nonetheless. James faux-prayed in the diary room that Janelle goes home.

Howie is shown shaving Will. Both shave themselves. Boogie says the scene was “too metrosexual for me.” George decided to get his body shaved as well.

George goes to talk to Danielle. He says the odds are now stacked in her favor. George tells her he can’t make this to end. Danielle says they are the only parents in the house. George makes a handshake deal with Danielle to support each other to the end. They end with a hug.

Erika, Janelle and Will lying on floor. Erika says he’s easy on the eyes and smart. Howie jumps into conversation. Janelle says Howie adds nothing to conversations. Will says he wants to hit him sometime. Howie makes fun of Will (The same Big Boy stuff we’ve seen the past while). Will says he’s like a little child who craves attention.

Danielle calls everyone to pick veto players. Danielle draws Will. Janelle draws houseguest choice and draws Marcellas. Marcellas jumps up and down but says he’s playing to get rid of her as well and she’s on her own. James draws houseguest choice and chooses Boogie. Erika to host but by microphone (no other HG’s allowed outside).

We see the backyard turned into a graveyard. In this game the houseguests could be digging their own grave. Everyone lies in one of the graves. Each houseguest starts with 40 veto points and they can gain or lose points with temptations by buzzing in. The houseguest with the most points win the veto. Will says he and Boogie don’t care what happens.

First temptation. Who is willing to have all the beds replaced with cots, and only cold water in the house for entire week. No one knew anyone else was buzzing. The person agreeing to this first adds 7 veto points to that houseguest’s score.
2. Who is willing to spend 24 hours in solitary confinement? Gains 9 veto points.
3. Who is willing to have a marguetita party for the houseguests? Gives up 9 veto points.
4. Who wants a plasma TV for giving up 5 veto points?
5. Who wants a phone call from a loved one for giving up 5 veto points? Danielle starts crying in grave and DR because she has to give that up trying to win veto.
6. Who wants a trip for 2 to Aruba for giving up 5 veto points. Will says Boogie is gobbling up the prizes.
7. Who is willing to put the four houseguests not playing for the veto on slop for the week to gain 8 veto points?
8. Who wants a summer slop pass for giving up 7 veto points?
9. Who wants $5000? Who is willing to give up the most points for it.
10. Who is willing not to play for veto next week to get 10 veto points.

After commercial, we see who got what. Janelle put everyone in army cots. Danielle took the solitary confinement. James agreed to the marguerita party saying something positive had to happen to the house. Boogie did get the plasma TV. James took the phone call. Danielle says “I’m working with idiots.” Janelle puts the HG’s on slop. Boogie wins the trip to Aruba and Danielle shakes her head in disgust. Janelle agrees not to play for the veto next week. Will bid 40 points for the $5000. Danielle calls her alliance the “Legion of Stupidity.” Marcellas wins the summer-long slop pass. Janelle wins the veto. Danielle says she’s surrounded by people who don’t understand the game. Will says he wanted Janelle to win so her target would be Danielle and not them. Janelle says Danielle’s worst nightmare happened. “Too bad. So Sad.”

Houseguests are sitting on couches in the backyard. James says he dropped his points to 32 by agreeing to the marguerita party and phone call. Will and Boogie are laughing in the diary room about what they won. Janelle admitted to everything but not playing in POV next week.

Everyone runs to their rooms to see the beds replaced by army cots. James says they were treated worse than criminals. Boogie asks how he’s supposed to hook up with Erika in those things.

Danielle wants to be in confinement (no bed, water, slop) for 24 hours so she doesn’t need to talk to anyone. James is seen taking a cold shower to the chuckles of Kaysar. He says he’s pissed off they get cold water for five points Janelle didn’t need. Janelle is concerned with his game play, needing veto himself (so she thought) but was giving points away for the marguerita party and phone call. Boogie and Will saying he’s not that safe. They want to try and target Marcellas. Will starts by telling Janelle that Marcellas got the plasma and the five grand. James is also talking to Will and Boogie about getting Marcellas out this week. Will tells James and Howie he’s consdering calling a truce to their rivalry to get rid of Marcellas.

On to the backyard marguerita party. George and Janelle are dressed up. George wears a sombrero. The Mexican fiesta includes food, a pinata, and of course, a marguerita maker. Will said it’s a great game when he wins $5,000, put the blame on Marcellas, then goes to a marguerita party to hit on a drunken Janelle. Danelle wonders to herself why she is in solitary confinement while others supposed to help her were having margueritas.

James has his phone call and we see his main squeeze, sexy Sarah. They show both of them talking and James shows the signals he gives in house to indicate he’s thinking of her. James says the phone call was uplifting, He is shown emotional in the back yard.

Danielle is annoyed. Everyone peeking in the solitary room. She’s shown exercising and pacing around to kill time. Says she’s having all kinds of thoughts from deceit to loyalty and she’s ready to play the game.
Question: Could Big Brother have done all of us a favor and keep Danielle in solitary confinement permanently?

Danielle gets out to chants of “free Danielle” and cheers and hugs (I don’t know why). Danielle says she felt free and begins talking to everyone to find out what’s going on. Boogie talks to Danielle about taking out Marcellas. Danielle calls them “idiots”. James is there as well asking her about solitary and says not taking phone call bothered her. James says Will, Boogie agree and that she should get rid of Marcellas. Danielle says are these people crazy.

Janie is worried Kaysar will go up. James says the best case scenario is that Marcellas is put up and the worst case scenario is that Kaysar goes up and goes home. Janelle says she has decided to use the veto on herself and asks Danielle to make a new nomination. She says it’s about numbers and tells Howie she’ll keep her promise and not nominate him. She nominates Kaysar. Marcellas smiles. I resurrect the “Welfare Mom” nickname I gave Danielle during Big Brother 3.

James said the first test of the Legion of Doom relationship is down the tube. But the idea is to get Janelle out next week. Danielle has to do what’s right for her and can’t let Season 6 dominate the house.

Kaysar says it’s game on. He’ll fight to stay in house.

Watch Kaysar get evicted with class and dignity on Thursday.
