– At Monday’s RAW tapings, an OVW tag team defeated Rob Conway and his partner in a dark match; Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade defeated Val Venis and Snitsky for Heat; Matt Striker defeated a local jobber for Heat; Hacksaw and Eugene a jobber team for Heat; Spirit Squad beat some local guys for Heat; and Cena beat Edge by DQ in a post-RAW dark match.
– Last night before ECW, WWE taped this Friday’s Smackdown, which featured Funaki over Chuck Palumbo (thanks to J.D. Wolfe for this info) in a dark match, followed by the following action:
* Daivari and Kahli did an interview; Taker came out to interrupt. It was announced that a last man standing match between the two will happen at Smackdown next week instead of the PPV.
* Gregory Helms beat Tatanka with the shining wizard and Tatanka’s foot under the ropes, away from the ref’s line of vision.
* Idol and James beat London and Kendrick.
* Kennedy beat Rey Mysterio when Chavo ran out, followed by Vickie Guerrero who broke it up.
* Diva Search segment included Luke Perry (90210, Oz, Windfall) as a judge.
* A Boogeyman video ran.
* Vito beat Sylvan.
* Terkay squashed Dustin Starr, with he and Burke doing the post-match beatdown.
* Batista and Lashley beat Finlay and Regal. After the match, Dave and Booker had a stare-down.
* After the show, in a Summerslam Main Event preview dark match, Batista beat King Booker by DQ after a Sharmell low blow.
