[WWE] Vickie Guerrero Comments on Rey vs. Chavo, PPV Spoiler & Much More

Archive

– August 5th’s AM RAW did a 0.9 cable rating, with a 4.1 share.

– The Big Show beat Rob Van Dam last night at the Deep South Wrestling Six Flags show in Georgia.

– PWInsider is reiterating rumors previously reported by Dave Meltzer that Undertaker vs. Khali was moved off of Summerslam because they can’t count on Khali to have a good match. The match will air taped and likely edited on Friday instead of at Summerslam, which is a loaded card anyway.

– According to materials already sent to cable affiliates, the main event of the next RAW PPV is currently planned to be (highlight text for spoilers): Edge vs. John Cena in a WWE Title match. Another rumor going around is that Trish’s final PPV match before her WWE contract is up will take place at the event, according to PWInsider.

– Commercials have began running for “Celebrity Duets,” the new reality show that will feature Chris Jericho.

– John Cena’s latest Five Questions talks about Jeff Hardy, his upcoming movie and more.

– In this story on WWE.com about the Chavo/Rey Summerslam match, Vickie Guerrero is quoted as saying, in kayfabe: “My heart’s broken because I feel like my whole family’s falling apart … I love Rey and I love Chavo. Rey has been a special part of my life because he was Eddie’s close friend. Then there’s Chavito, who’s my nephew, and that’s special in itself. It’s breaking my heart that they can’t get along. With losing Eddie and then seeing how Chavo and Rey can’t get along, I feel like I’m losing both of them too … I just wish they would come to peaceful terms … If I can reach Teddy before SummerSlam, I’m going to plead my case [to call off the match] … I don’t want Rey and Chavito to go through with this because it’s not going to result in anything good and…I think Eddie would be happy too if they could forgive each other and move on.” The article also states that this match will have brought Chavo “out of retirement,” seemingly making him officially part of the Smackdown roster.

– Is the Brooklyn Brawler returning full-time to the ring? No. But here’s an interview with him anyway.
