— The August Update v.2: Well I have now completed the second week of August, and I have I to say; I’m feeling pretty good. You know, I’m still occasionally down on energy, tired every single evening, and drained to do absolutely nothing over the weekend… but I’m doing good. Well anyway- the countdown is now 3 weeks to go! (Take a deep breath- and count to 20).

— And just to let you all know… during these three weeks towards my return to a less hectic life style and The Raw Events… I’ll be trying out some new stuff for the Raw Events, so bare with me if HEAT goes through some weird awkward stages. If it hasn’t already.

————————————-

– Kenny & Nicky vs. Patrick Bentley & Adam Armor
So does the eventual split of the Spirit Squad begin here on HEAT!? Hmm… and damn, who doesn’t want a name like “Armor”!? Kenny starts off this match and is quickly taken down by Bentley. Things don’t last long as Kenny gets a hard clothesline and tags in Nicky for the follow up.

A double team backflip gets two! More double team with a vertical suplex connects and Nicky starts to rake the eyes. Arm-headlock is locked into submission. And it isn’t until Nicky misses a splash that the jobber team gets the tag.

Not much there however as Kenny gets the top tope leg drop for the win.
Winner: The Spirit Squad

– Matt Striker vs. Donald Lamb
Ok, like in the last match I’m gonna talk about the name. Donald Lamb… oh yeah, you’ll be taken seriously with that kind of name. Donald? Oy. Striker asks us all if we are enjoying our summer vacation (I’m not!) Striker wants to put school all year long, (oh please don’t!) Lots of mat wrestling surprisingly to start off the match. As we get a nice combo that tosses Lamb into the ropes.

Tie up on the rope follows with a drop kick and a baseball slide to knock Lamb out of the ring and gets a two count! Headlock slows the match down. Striker tosses Lamb to the corner and gets a hard foot to the face and Striker goes for the pin.
Winner: Matt Striker

– Eugene & Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Charles Evans & Derek Taylor
Derek Jeter… oh no, my mistake. On to squash match number 3!!! Even though I don’t care much for either of these two wrestlers, its nice to see some kind of continuity in the WWE as Eugene’s jacket is still covered in the DX green paint. Other than that… HHhhhoooo.

Hacksaw takes control early on in the match, Eugene follows it up. But being the weak link of the team, the jobbers take advantage of him. Hot tag into Hacksaw and double team ensues. Double shoulder block tackle ends this horrible match.
Winner: Eugene & Hacksaw Jim Duggan

– Val Venis & Snitsky vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch
It’s that time again… for the MAIN EVENT! Venis and Cade start of this match as Val gets in some chops before being taken down by a nice drop kick from Cade. Quick double team in the corner overtakes Venis as the tag in to Murdoch follows. This gives Venis some time to move momentum back in over Murdoch and a tag into Snitsky is placed.

Murdoch has his recent and weird tantrum as Snitsky scoop slams Murdoch and gets the tag back to Venis. Elbow block runs of an attack from Murdoch, but as Venis goes up top, Cade knocks Val down ringside. Jawbreaker from Murdoch is followed up by a neckbreaker from Cade for 2!

Venis gets his second win but is quickly chopped down with an atomic drop combined with a Murdock knee to the face. Another two is a no go and Murdoch locks up Venis in a headlock. Hot tag to Snitsky starts to clear the ring, rights-lefts, scoop slams and clotheslines corner to corner all in a row. Back body drop to Murdoch and double collision in the middle of the ring. But out of nowhere, we the get the low-high clothesline as Murdoch and Cade remain on their undefeated streak.
Winner: Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch

The HEAT Wave
Well it was your usual episode of HEAT this weekend. With three jobber matches not really doing much, but a so-so entertaining main event tag match as I’m actually (not holding my breath though) waiting to see what they do with the whole Cade/ Murdoch team. If you wanna see for yourself, put that weird arrow pointy thing and click here. And after that, just wait around till next weekend. Till then, I’m out. Peace!
