– It was announced on RAW today that Jeff Hardy would be returning to the show next Monday.

– Ken Doane (Kenny from Spirit Squad) was issued a warrant for assault and battery and vandalism charges coming from the incident a few weeks back in Roanoke, VA, where a fan accused Kenny and his fiance Mickie James of pulling away (they were in their car at the time) while he was asking for an autograph, allegedly holding onto the sign he was trying to get autographed, thus injuring him. You can read the story here.

– For the incredible Monty Brown promo from last night’s Hard Justice PPV – perhaps his unofficial audition for WWE? – go to YouTube. Discussion about this promo as well as a transcript are on our reader forums here.

– According to WrestlingObserver.com and WrestleMag.com, Austin Aries suffered two broken ribs over the weekend in his match with the Briscoes.

– WrestlingObserver.com also reports that Kurt Angle pulled his groin muscle over the weekend at the ECW house show in White Plains, NY, but will be in tomorrow night’s ladder match. Also at the show, in case you missed it in Dan Hevia’s house show report, Joey Styles announced that the 9/11 Madison Square Garden RAW taping would also include ECW.

– Debunking recent rumors, Dave Meltzer at WrestlingObserver says that as of Sunday, these matches would NOT be taking place at Summerslam: Highlanders vs. Spirit Squad, London & Kendrick vs. James & Stevens, Finlay vs. Lashley vs. Regal (or any U.S. title match) or Nitro vs. Kane.

– PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson is reporting that MTV’s “Wrestling Society X” show is likely to have October tapings in Los Angeles, according to what contracted wrestlers have been told. The promotion has also taken over a former fan-run MySpace account, which is now the closest thing WSX has to an official Web page. You can find it here.

– Also from PWInsider, here are some details from last night’s fire at TNA Hard Justice: a burlap sack that was being used as a ballast caught fire in the rafters during the opening pyro … those trying to extinguish the fire couldn’t reach it, so the fire dept. decided to evacuate the fans, who ended up staying in the rain but entertained by wrestlers out there to sign autographs, etc. … one Universal Studios employee was taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation … no pyro was used for the rest of the PPV … some fans were complaining at losing their seats, seriously … the company was happy with how they dealt with the situation on the fly, and only had to postpone one match (the four-way for the tag title shot) while making some others shorter … The Orlando Sentinel and Miami Herald covered the fire incident.

– So Cal Val has signed a deal with TNA officially over the weekend, according to Mike Johnson.
