The Movie

Atrocious: adj; shockingly brutal or cruel; exceptionally bad or displeasing; provoking horror; Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction.

Catherine Trammel is back, fourteen years past her usefulness and looking it (kind of). Catherine, the often naked Sharon Stone, has surfaced in London and now has a tricky “risk addiction”, meaning that she likes to have certain soccer stars play with her while she’s going way too fast in a car. Then she crashes the car, killing the soccer player but there is a twist! Seems he was petty much dead before she crashed into the river.

Catherine is sent to a shrink who basically gets a hard on for her and this leads to more horrible sequences where they try to recreate the “magic” of the original movie, in some parts even using the same dialogue as the original.

This movie is an embarrassment to the movie industry. It is the same movie as the original, swapping some names and jobs and good acting. Michael Douglas played an angry, sex starved cop. We later found out that he was a sex addict. See, it worked. In this film, nothing works. The directing is poor, location is poor, acting is poor, even Sharon Stone’s chest is poor. The only constant in this film is you, as the viewer, wondering if you will have to commit various acts of crime to make sure that something this bad never, ever sees the light of day again.

I have seen bad movies before. I have seen plenty of bad movies before. Never before have I wanted to light myself on fire for entertainment while watching a movie. During this film, my cat fell asleep and what I must do crossed my mind: Catwoman is the only movie on InsidePulse to ever get a negative rating. Until now.

Score: -2/10

The Video

2:40:1 Widescreen – Take London and look at it in movies. Now look at the new, “hip” London that they try to create. Ghastly.

The Audio

5.1 Dolby Digital – Please don’t get me started on women faking it.

The Extras

“Between the Sheets” – Behind the scenes feature where they try to justify doing this to people who pay money.

Commentary – Nothing of note. Probably more entertaining than the real movie. Just the director talking, who should never get another job again.

Deleted and Extended Scenes – Lord God make the pain go away.

Score: 1/10
