– According to Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, despite what WWE.com reported about a “mutual decision” for Kurt and WWE to part ways (stated this way publicly to save face for Kurt), the truth is that his release was a company decision. Says Wade Keller of PWTorch.com, “The fact that Angle has been wrestling a full time schedule has been of concern to colleagues the past few years. Although he apparently did his best to mask it from Vince McMahon, several friends and colleagues of his say he has been using a lot of medication to get through his matches and mask his pain for years, to the point that people feared for his life.”

– PWInsider is reporting that John Cena recently did a photo shoot for Flex Magazine, and that the regular Stacy Keibler feature in Stuff Magazine seems to have been replaced with a full-page piece called “The Soft Spot” with John Cena talking about what makes him cry, why he doesn’t follow the WWE dress code and more. Also, in his latest 5 Questions can be found on the revised WWE.com Web Shows page, where Cena talks about who he’d want as his manager. Also on the page is the latest Heat and 28 Segundos.

– According to advertisements, the Unforgiven main event will in fact be John Cena vs. Edge for the WWE Title in a TLC match and the No Mercy main event will be: Batista vs. Booker T for the World Title.

– Following are results of Friday’s Ring of Honor show in St. Paul, MN, according to WrestlingObserver.com and PWTorch.com:

Briscoes d. Irish Airborne
Homicide d Jimmy Jacobs
Christopher Daniels d Claudio Castagnoli
Colt Cabana & Davey Richards d Jimmy Rave & Sal Rinauro
Matt Sydal d Delirious
Austin Aries & Roderick Strong d Samoa Joe& BJ Whitmer to retain titles

In the main event, Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness fought to a draw in a 60-minute best 2/3 falls match. After the match, Danielson didn’t move for five minutes, laying face down as Nigel got up and left and the crowd gave the match a standing ovation. Officials noticed he wasn’t moving, so they helped the champ up, tending to him for about ten minutes, as he dry-heaved. He finally got up, and said Nigel was his toughest opponent and he didn’t want to retire the Pure Title (Danielson recently won the Pure Title to add to his World Title). Wade Keller at PWTorch reports that backstage, Nigel seemed worse off, resting slumped in his chair for about 20 minutes, with Danielson was up and about, moving around only 25 minutes after his match.
