– Lance Hoyt will return to TNA at the September 24 PPV, according to Dave Meltzer.

– Also from Meltzer: the Sabu vs. Paul Heyman main event last night on ECW was a change made Monday by Vince McMahon, who threw out the original show since he felt they needed something stronger with RAW being on Sci Fi not USA, thus not having the promotional punch for ECW it usually has.

– ROH’s Claudio Castagnoli appeared as one of the police officers with Shane McMahon on RAW Monday night, according to PWInsider.com.

– PWInsider also reports that WWE has filed for a trademark for “Cryme Time,” which will most likely be the new name of OVW team “The Neighborhoodies” when they get called up.

– The Gymini will return to Smackdown soon, with Todd Shane now medically cleared to wrestle, according to PWInsider.

– Jake Roberts has been trying to get a deal with TNA, most recently pitching them a storyline where he helps a fan recover from a drug addiction, according to a PWInsider source.

– Some ROH injury notes: World Champion Bryan Danielson took an MRI and is getting a second opinion on his shoulder injury, but he expects to work the Glory by Honor weekend in the NY Metro area … BJ Whitmer has a badly injured ankle and will likely be out for a while … Jimmy Jacobs hurt his knee on Friday in St. Paul, taping it up to fight through the pain on Saturday … Nigel McGuinness suffered a concussion against Bryan Danielson on Friday, so they protected him in a six-man match on Saturday (Credit: PWInsider).

– Republican gubernatorial nominee Judy Baar Topinka is introducing The Rock at the Chicago “Gridiron Gang” movie premiere, according to this Sun-Times article.

– According to Wrestlemag.com, ECW’s TV show will be moving to Thursday evenings following the RAW replay on Sky Sports 3 in the UK. Smackdown airs on Fridays on the network, and the early-morning edited version of ECW is being dropped. The ECW airings at the new time goes into effect on Thursday, 7 September at 11pm, and the ECW December PPV will also air on the network.

– WWE.com has posted stories on Edge, the Hell in the Cell match for Unforgiven, a Matt Hardy mailbag where he talks about cutting his hair, behind-the-scenes footage of John Cena’s movie, a “follow London & Kendrick around for a day” feature, comments from Smackdown superstars about John Cena potentially coming back to the brand, and a confirmation that Trish is retiring. On the latter, WWE.com reports:

Trish told WWE.com that she was upset that Lita chose to break the story how she did, as she wanted to tell the WWE fans in her own way. However, the six-time Women’s Champion then refused any additional comment, saying she will address the situation this coming Monday night on RAW.
