But as I just finished watching Capt. Blaccent Justin Timberlake perform his latest single on Jay Leno (I’m waiting for Conan to come on), I’m pretty sure that I’m tired of the whole “white people evoking slavery in a sexual sense.”
I mean there are white folks who get off on the concept of slavery. I’m guessing that one could do a net search and find plenty of “erotic literature” that’s set in the South in the 1800s. I’m pretty sure that there filled with tons of “massa” and enough “nUggeTs” to rival a rap song.
Hell I even know that it’s an actual fact that slaves were used in such a manner. After all it’s the reason why Styles P’s skin is so light.
And yes, I do realize that they’re using it in the “submissive” sense. And maybe if this were taking place in France, a country that’s actually taking strides to recognize and atone for slavery, it wouldn’t bother me so much.
But it’s not. This is like my very own “perfect storm.” We have a blonde haired blue-eyed white guy, performing an urban song, in a country that does it’s best to sweep slavery under the proverbial rug.
Oh yeah, JT is also the guy that not only played an equal role in the infamous “wardrobe malfunction” but also hung Janet out to dry. This dude’s passes have been expired.
Where is the justice in Justin Timberlake being guaranteed to go multi while The Roots will be happy to get Gold? Where is the justice in J-Dilla dying and Justin Timberlake being alive and well?
