In what is, without a doubt, the funniest sports rumor I’ve heard this year, the Detriot Free Press is reporting that Matt Millen, GM of the Detriot Lions, has called Al Davis, owner of the Oakland Raiders, about WR Jerry Porter.
Yes, that Jerry Porter – the guy who was spotting laughing and clapping last week on the sideline as his QB Aaron Brooks was getting sacked over and over again. The guy who is so self-centered that he’s actually managing to make Randy freakin’ Moss look humble by comparison.
Yes, that Matt Millen – the guy who drafted three WRs in the first round in three consecutive drafts. Of those three, Charles Rogers has been cut, Mike Williams has been fined so many times for being overweight and late to meetings that he’s playing this year for free, and Roy Williams has made a complete ass out of himself for the past two weeks.
Yeah – this’ll work out well.
