While I admit I fast-forward through a lot of stuff on this show and I’m certainly not the biggest fan either, it can still be entertaining at times. The third season is in its second week…
Dancing with the Stars
I don’t like that Jerry Springer is still on the show. Maybe he’s still here since people like to chant “Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!”. He can’t dance, though. So I see him sticking around a few more weeks like Master P. did last year.
I’m still behind Emmitt Smith for sure, followed by Joey Lawrence and Mario Lopez. The others I don’t care too much about.
One thing that does annoy me about this show and that’s how they take popular songs from different genres that include rap, pop, rock, etc. and use different versions of those songs for the couples to dance to. I know they would have to pay a lot to have the original songs played, but why play them in the first place. The one that stood out the most was “Jump” by Kriss Kross. It seemed out of place.
I’ve never seen a panel of judges like this before either. Usually you have the “Simon Cowell type”, who everyone hates and then there are two that everyone likes or one that everyone is neutral two. But this show has two that everyone boos, Len and Bruno, and people are mixed on Carrie Ann most of the times (How can you hate a former Flygirl not named Jennifer Lopez? – Kevin). It’s also interesting that the judges DO matter on this show as their scores count along with the people’s votes.
As for Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris as the hosts, I give them a B-. Tom is okay and Samantha is passable. They don’t bring the show down like say Regis on America’s Got Talent.
