In some more casting news for the day, Noemie Lenoir has joined Max von Sydow and Hiroyuki Sanada in Rush Hour 3, which will star Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan and be directed by Brett Ratner.
The film is scheduled to shoot for four months, beginning this Sunday in Paris, France. The story will focus on Tucker’s and Chan’s characters fighting a wing of a Chinese organized crime family. Max von Sydow will portray the head of the World Criminal Court, while French actress Lenoir will be the love interest for Tucker’s character.
Also, it is interesting to note that rumors continue to swirl, albeit unconfirmed, that Jean-Claude Van Damme will also have a major part in the film. No official statement has been made concerning that yet.
New Line has officially set the release date at August 10th of next year. Rush Hour and its sequel grossed nearly $600 million worldwide.
