I love sitting down and watching America’s Next Top Model with a huge bowl of pasta and a really, really good box of wine (Uh, Dee Dee, I hate to tell you this, but boxed wine is the viniter’s equivalent of recycled draft beer – Kevin). Cause I’m eating and drinking for 13. Lord knows, they won’t. And who says you can never be too thin? Besides Madrid last week, but I digress. And now, I’m back.
And so is my fun filled show with the tears, the cat fights, the Tyra-tude.
I’m already picking my favorite contestants and my favorite moments.
Evita who left her children while her husband is in Iraq. Good job, mommy. Daddy’s fighting for our country and you are going trying out to be a supermodel.
Caridee and her garter.
Megan who lost her mom in a plane crash.
Ginger the prude.
AJ who is not your typical blonde… and she’s a brunette. Putting doubt in the phrase “dumb blonde”.
Cyndel who says stripping is a lot like modeling. Sure it is Cyndel… way to get the judges on your side. Is that indirectly calling Tyra a stripper? Nice work, Cyndel. How could she not have made the cut?
And of course, Ms. J. Alexander and shim’s best 2 snaps on the runway pose right out of In Living Color‘s “Men on Film”.
However out of the 33 girls who made it through the auditions, only 13 will be chosen. Those 13 are:
AJ, Amanda, Anchal, Brooke, Caridee, Christian, Eugena, Jaela, Megan, Megg, Melrose, Michelle and Monique
Modeling nekkid was the best way to break these girls in. That’s right, break them down to their bear skin, Tyra.
Monique pouring water on the bed and telling Eugena that she peed on the bed was just what I was needing about now.

Now, for their first modeling assignment, the girls are going to be portraying a typical model stereotypes from anorexia to bulimia to not getting out of bed for less than $10,000 a day.
All of the girls do their shoot, and anxiously await the meeting with Tyra and gang. Tyra holds 12 photos and Christian isn’t one of them and she’s the first girl to hit the streets. Not literally, then again, you never know where these girls end up once they leave the show.
Next week, look for a complete transformation as they get their makeovers. I, however, will be unchanged, same seat, same box of wine.
