Jersey Retirements, Jagr cleared

16, 19, 20

The St. Louis Blues announced that they’ll be retiring Brett Hull’s No. 16 in a pre-game ceremony on December 5th before the Blues hit the ice to take on another of Hull’s former teams, the Red Wings.

Hull joins Steve Yzerman (January 2nd vs Anaheim) and Luc Robitaille (January 20th vs Phoenix) as a marquee player who will have his number retired this season.

Fun fact: All three players won the Stanley Cup on the same team in 2001 (Detroit) and are now having numbers retired for them by three different teams (Blues, Red Wings and Kings).

NYR gets good news

Jaromir Jagr has been cleared to practice for the first time since dislocating his left shoulder 5 months ago during the Rangers first round loss to the Devils. Jagr’s return is, obviously, the key to the Rangers having any sort of success this upcoming season.

8 DAYS till the regular season begins.
