The RAW Events

Reviews, Shows, TV Shows

— Another month another show. We head into fall full steam as we get two huge title matches tonight for the IC title and the WWE title in a steeeeeeel cage match. And of course on the other end of things, nothing says October like football as we have the Eagles and the Packers duking it out in the Monday night matchup. As always, I got both of your fixes here on the Raw Events. So read on”¦.

D-Generation X vs. Cade & Murdoch vs. Viscera & Hass vs. The Highlanders
Before the match; Coach walks out asking if DX thinks they own RAW and puts them in Texas Tornado Match. This match ends up a total brawl for all with everyone going after everyone. DX isolates Viscera and double clotheslines the big man down. Everyone then gets back up once more.

Ring gets cleared and once more double team Viscera with a double DDT. Hass eats a super kick and a pedigree to end the match, fast and simple. BUT Coach has other ideas as he “owns Monday night.” DX threatens to throw Coach out so they take over and do so as they run up the ramp after Coach.
Winner: D-Generation X

Intercontinental Title: Nitro w/ Melina vs. Jeff Hardy
We get some useful info that Melina likes to have threesomes! Fans boo Nitro at the end of his entrance and pop for Hardy. Nitro starts on the offensive quickly, but Hardy takes him down hard with a flying clothesline and a wishbone leg drop. Hurricarana follows it up with an early twist of fate blocked as Nitro runs to the outside.

Hardy teases a cross body out of the ring, but stops only to jump off the apron to hit Nitro on the outside. Back in from the break Nitro has Hardy in a chin lock that Jeff powers out of with a few rights. Hardy misses wide with the whisper in the wing move off the top ropes as Nitro starts to focus his attention on the back. Double heel kick for Hardy finally puts both men on the mat.

Count starts up as Hardy is the first one to his feet using a few kicks to get the advantage. Whisper in the wind finally hits but only gets 2! Whip against the ropes but Melina pulls Nitro out, but Hardy keeps on attacking, going up on the rail and jumping down to take out both Melina and Nitro. Nitro goes up top and loses the battle as he gets back dropped to the mat and Hardy hits the Swanton bomb for the WIN!!!!
Winner: And NEW IC CHAMP JEFF HARDY

Umaga vs. Snitsky
Snitsky tries to slug it out with the “monster” from the get go, but is adverted by AAE and Umaga picks Snitsky up in the Samoan drop. Bull rush into the corner and Samoan spike follows it up for the quick win.
Winner: Umaga

Randy Orton vs. Carlito
Yeah as much as I wanted to cover this match, I couldn’t because I went to go get something to eat. And when I came back match was over. Match ends as Carlito tries the crossbody, but Orton uses the momentum to grab the tights and the win.
Winner: Randy Orton

Nicky vs. Sgt. Slaughter
Cobra clutch is set up quickly by Slaughter but Nicky fights his way out of it. Nicky actually sets up the match quite well, taking most of the offensive to the Sgt. Match seems to be on hold until DX shows up on the titantron and tells Nicky that he’s missing part of the uniform as HHH holds up a pair of panties, giving Slaughter enough time to set up the pin.
Winner: Sgt. Slaughter

Mickey James vs. Victoria
Let “Mickey James vs. Lita finals” tournament is underway again as DX orders both girls to fight this match in the lingerie. Strangely enough, neither girl looks like if they are wrestling in the undergarment as it looks like regular wrestling attire to me. Boston crab is locked into place by Victoria until James flips her way out of it. Mickey tries a sunset flip but misses HORRIBLY as Victoria tries to fix the spot. Ref catches the use of the ropes as James reverses the pin to get the 1-2-3.
Winner: Mickey James

WWE Title Cage Match: Edge w/ Lita vs. John Cena
I’m going for Edge here, although I highly doubt they’ll have Cena drop the strap tonight. Edge tries to send Cena head first into the walls of the cage, but Cena fires back with a vertical suplex getting a two count. Edge however counters towards the left bandaged arm of Cena, wrapping it around the ropes, hitting a drop kick to escape the cage.

Cena pulls him back in and gets another two count. Edge tries to escape again going over the right corner of the cage, but gets pulled in once more. FU is attempted, but Edge reverses it into a DDT for two! Arm bar is locked into Cena, but a back body drop counters the move to bring both men down.

Cena gets a head of steam and drives Edge down onto the mat for 2! This time it’s Cena who tries to climb the cage but is pulled back down by Edge as Cena gets sandwiched in between the cage wall and the ropes which lead to a spear by Edge! Edge tries to scale once again as both men go up top and slug away at each other, until Edge gives way and Cena bulldogs him into the mat as we go to break.

Back in, both men are on the ground with Cena getting only a two count. Edge tosses Cena off the ropes and hits a heel kick dead on with just a two count once more. The door opens and Cena holds onto Edge’s foot to keep the match in play. (Touchdown Eagles) Edge throws Cena right into the sssttteeeeeellll wall and he goes right up to climbing the links in the far right corner. Cena no sells the injury and runs right up the top of the cage along with Edge as both men slug away. Edge hits the hard right and Cena falters, Edge has one leg over the cage but Cena pulls him down again to fall pray to a suplex off the top rope. Two count for Edge gets nothing.

Edge climbs again, but falls into the split on the top rope and Cena slugs him into the steel, following it up with a few clotheslines. You can’t see me- connects and FU is attempted but blocked as Edge sends Cena’s face into the cage. Both men back on top in the far right turnbuckle, FU is tried- failed- Edge puts him down for another 2! Door opens, but hold on the foot again delays the win. Lita throws in a steel chair and is ejected for her help.

The chair is now in play as Cena hits a few rights, but eats a boot from Edge. Top rope clothesline takes out the ref and Edge grabs the chair. Swing and a miss from Edge, Cena uses the chair and connects as he locks in the STFU, but no ref”¦ outside ref cant get in. Murdoch and Cade run in and beatdown Cena. Double clothesline hits as they try to revive Edge. Cue DX- they level out Cade and Murdoch, HHH swings the steel door into Edge’s face and Cena finally hits the FU just as the ref wakes up for the win.
Winner: John Cena

— DX is outside the locked office of Coach

— Hardy is being interviewed by my RAW Rep. Maria! And she knows how to strip as she’ll be in ECW next week in an Extreme Strip Poker. Melina screams in the mic unearthly as Hardy covers her mouth, but she doesn’t stop.

— Coach seems freaked out by something Vince has said to him over the phone as he slowly opens the door to his office and peers out for DX. Coast is clear and he tip-toes down the hallway until he runs into HHH and HBK waiting for him. Old western music suddenly appears as so does a bush weed at Coach’s feet”¦ ummmm, ok. Coach runs into the women’s locker room as Shawn regrettably goes in with a HHH happily goes in.

Coach is still running as he finds himself in another locker room with flashing lights with the ECW stripper hitting up on Coach. He runs out yet again and slips on a wet floor, giving DX enough time to catch up to him. DX takes out the trash”¦ literally.

— DX lets the SS know that they are running the show now. DX tells SS that there is a new dress code in affect tonight, and if they don’t dress to the new code”¦ HHH brings out the sledge.

— Bischoff is backstage with Masters with his “new book” to pimp. DX shows up and pimps it even more. Bischoff says that DX is a blatant rip-off from the NWO. HHH asks Masters if he’s ever gonna write a book and he refers “yes” probably one on nutrition. HHH says what is it gonna be about, “How to lose 40 lbs. in 4 weeks!?” ouch. HBK still wonders if they are a rip-off of the NWO as HHH refers to that it doesn’t really matter as he who laughs best laughs last, or something like that.

The Inside Pulse
You know, this wasn’t a bad show with the two huge matches they had within, plus it didn’t hurt to have the main event last about 20 minutes. But it did hurt to have that craptacular ending. It gets really old when you have the ref bump at the end with him miraculously waking up just on time to count the pin. As was the case and point here that hurt a really good match actually. I don’t know if I should put the show down cuz of this as it took away A LOT of the momentum it was carrying even though Cena won. Either way, enjoy the rest of your week. Till the next EVENT, I’m out, peace.
