Columns

Sorry for missing last week folks, but I was completely knackered from all the work I’ve been doing recently and just crashed and burned. Here’s a message to all you work-a-holics like me out there. Work to live, don’t live to work.

Which is exactly the same thing that in my opinion Kurt Angle should listen to. At a guess, the guy is close to, if not a millionaire. YOU DON’T HAVE TO WORK ANYMORE, YOU’RE MINTED.

However he obviously still has a hell of a passion for this business, so signing with TNA is a great move and I fully support it. Yeah, he’s beat down there’s no doubt about it, but honestly I’d rather see him work a few dates a month with TNA than for him to be sitting at home all bitter and twisted doing nothing. It’ll be good for him to release some steam and relax a little until he gets used to the “not being on the road” mentality.

And that’s my “Kurt Angle” tangent out of the way. Now onto the meat and potatoes of the column.. The guess-work!

Speculation…

WWE Championship Match

I’m not too sure which way the Cena – Edge feud is going (as it may be ending) but I’ll take a guess and say that the fans will get to choose Cena’s opponent, probably out of the following people – “Edge, Umaga, Carlito, Randy Orton, Shelton Benjamin”, with Edge being the clear favourite to win.

Intercontinental Championship

I think it’s safe to say that Jeff Hardy will still be the IC champ going into Cyber Sunday, so I’ll take a shot at some type of match involving him and Johnny Nitro being the “fans choice”.

The type’s of matches on offer will look something like this:

– No DQ
– Ladder Match
– Submission Match
– TLC

Personally, I don’t think they’ll include the TLC match as we’ve just had one of those a few weeks back, so my guess is that we’ll get a Ladder Match as the eventual winner.

DX vs. Cade & Murdoch

I think this feud will be going on for a while, as Cade is a former pupil of HBK’s, so this again could be a match where the fan’s get to choose what type of match they will compete in. Look for “Steel Cage” to be the match of choice.

Tag Team Title Match

A good idea for “The Fans Choice” for this would be for them to decide which two Spirit Squad members face off against whoever their opponents are. I can see Cryme Time being those opponents.

WWE Women’s Title Match

Probably Candice Michelle vs. Mickie James, although I’ve not really been paying attention to the Women’s Division as of late. As a wild guess, I’ll say that the options the fans get to vote on will be something crappy like “vote for divas outfit” or something like that.

The Last Bit…

Slayer’s debut column here for Pulse Wrestling was, pardon my French, f*cking hilarious.

Matt Gardner managed to actually post something in spite of his tiredness, unlike myself.

Chris Biscuiti chimes in with another great “Counterfeit Pennies”.

Also, while we’re here, my favourite net writer ever, Scotsman, has opened up a site again after a couple of years break. All you Random Fags go take a look, or you might very well get aids.

If you’ve got some spare cash to blow, I recommend you purchase the “History of the WWE Championship” DVD. I’ve just finished watching the first Disc this afternoon, and it’s well worth the money. The timeline feature is a great watch too.

Stay Beefy…

Danny Wallace.
