[NEWS] 24 is Set for Another Two-Night Premiere in January

News, Shows

FOX will premiere the sixth season of 24 this January in a two-night, four-hour event just like they did last year. Last year, the ratings were extremely high for this, so FOX wants to do it again. By January, they will need all the help they can get to catch up with the other networks in the ratings.

The first night of the premiere will be Sunday, Jan. 14, starting at 8 p.m. ET. The following night, FOX will have two more hours of the new season. 24 will then take over in its normal time period of 9 p.m. on Monday, January 22.

In addition, a special sneak peak at season six will launch on
www.24trailer.com on Tuesday, Oct. 24. FOX will also present the sneak footage during Game 3 of the World Series, scheduled for that same night.

When last we saw Jack Bauer (Emmy winner Kiefer Sutherland), he had saved the world. Again. Instead of being thanked, though, he was beaten to a pulp by Chinese government agents who hoped to transport him off to a prison camp somewhere. Nevermind.

Season six begins 20 months after we last saw Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) being beaten and sent to a Chinese prison. As FOX puts it “After a series of horrific terrorist attacks, an unthinkable, nail-biting day begins.” Also, Wayne Palmer (DB Woodside), brother of late President David Palmer, has become President himself.

I know FOX can’t wait for 2007 to get here, how about you?!

Sir Linksalot: 24

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
