NBC will stick with their lowest-rated new show, Kidnapped, through its initial order of 13 episodes, but that will probably be it for that show.
The series follows the search for the abducted son of a wealthy New York couple. It has constantly been in last in its 10 p.m. Wednesday night timeslot and only averaging 7 million viewers a week.
NBC has asked the show’s producers to wrap up the story by the end of 13 episodes. The networks is committed to still air those 13 episodes, though.
Kidnapped has gotten good reviews, but its up against CSI: NY on CBS and a hyped-up new show called The Nine on ABC. It doesn’t help that The Biggest Loser leads into Kidnapped and Wednesday is a VERY weak night for NBC overall.
