In what can only be said as truely disturbing, another sequel is on the way and it’s not to a good movie.

Jeff Betancourt will be making his directorial debut as he, Sony Screen Gems, and Ghost House Pictures bring to the screens…Boogeyman 2. With the original grossing close to $70 million worldwide, it seems that was deemed enough of a success to garner a sequel.

In part 2, a young girl commits herself to a mental institution in hopes of getting over her great and longtime fears of boogeymen and other such things. Over time and treatment though, she realizes some things in life are meant to scare you. That only is going to make things worse for her.

Here’s hoping this one starts out better then the first, because it was the first boring 30 minutes that turned me off from the start.

Jeff Betancourt’s credits including editor of The Grudge 2, The Exorcism Of Emily Rose, and When A Stranger Calls.

I’d estimate seeing this film sometime in late 2007.
