The show opened with the closing moments of last week’s main event between Bradley Jay and Mike Taylor. It was close but no cigar for Taylor, as Jay retained with the Kamikaze Roll in his first defense of DSW heavyweight title.

Nigel Sherrod welcomed Nick Patrick as his guest broadcast partner for the evening. Patrick said he was fortunate to officiate the tremendous match between Jay and Taylor. Sherrod previewed this week’s show featuring the return on Freakin Deacon and Gymini vs. Majors Brothers in the main event.

(1) Freakin Deacon pinned Goth in 38 seconds. The crowd went nuts for Deacon. Goth attacked while Deacon was banging his head on the turnbuckle to warm up. Deacon headbutted Goth into oblivion. On commentary, Theodore R. Long said Goth was in good shape. That was some awesome timing because we had just finished watching Goth’s belly shake, rattle and roll as he sold for Deacon. Deacon leveled Goth with a high boot for the pin.

The camera picked up Deacon’s love interest at ringside cheering on her man. “I thought he was having a relationship with a spider,” said Long. Deacon greeted her by licking her hand. Deacon deposited the bag lady in her shopping cart and wheeled her out of the building to do God only knows what.

“WWE Superstar” Ron Simmons received a warm welcome from the DSW fans. Simmons joined Sherrod on commentary and talked about how thrilled he was to be home. (Simmons is from nearby Warner-Robins, Georgia).

Dan Rodimer was dressed in a t-shirt and jeans and kept his shades on for his pretaped promo. Rodimer said he was going to have to do the same thing to Ray Geezy this week as he did to Tommy Suede last week.

I don’t want to sound cocky or arrogant, or even toot my own horn, but DAMN, I am good”¦I put the super in superstar. I am the big deal.

(2) Daniel Rodimer beat Ray Geezy in 2:15. Rodimer is using Johnny Swinger’s old music. Geezy interrupted Rodimer’s arrogant posing. Rodimer pie-faced him. Geezy launched an all-out attack in Rodimer, relying primarily on a barrage of leg kicks. Geezy jumped on Rodimer’s back for a sleeper hold. Rodimer backed Geezy into the turnbuckles to shake him loose. Geezy clipped Rodimer’s knee and hit a step up enzuigiri. Geezy hooked the leg but Rodimer shoved him off at the count of two. Enough was enough. Rodimer used a gorilla press gutbuster for the 1-2-3. Sherrod called it the Big Deal. Last week the Big Deal was a full nelson drop.

Sherrod called Long out to the ring. Long said he was DSW scouting talent, and mentioned the promotion of MVP to Smackdown and Mike Knox to ECW. Long talked about organizations bringing in a DSW show as a fundraiser. Long also shilled for the training school. “And you might even work for me, playa.”

They aired highlights of last week’s Diva bikini contest won by Tracy Taylor. The other contestants were Rebecca DiPietro, Angel Williams, Krissy Vaine, Shantelle, and Luscious. When it comes to hot women, DSW is well stocked.

Majors Brothers made their ultra caffeinated ring entrance.

A pretaped promo by Majors Brothers aired. They talked about growing up on Long Island, idolizing great tag teams like the Rockers, the Hart Foundation and the British Bulldogs. Brett labeled the Gymini as bullies.

Gymini, we know all about you, but you know nothing about us. Tonight, we are going to show you why we are the saviors of tag team wrestling.

(3) The Majors Brothers (Brett & Brian) beat Gymini (Jesse & Jake) via DQ in 10:26. The broadcast team of Sherrod and Patrick talked about Majors having the fire and energy of the great (babyface) tag teams of yesteryear. Gymini overpowered Brian for the first minute and a half. Majors were able to use their quickness to gain the advantage. Brett went to work on Jake’s arm. When Brett hit a high crossbody, Gymini lured Brian into the ring to distract ref Scrappy McGowan and switched without tagging. Gymini hammered Brett with a double elbow drop. Jake did a move that started as hiptoss and ended as a brainbuster, which was definitely the coolest move on the show. Brett was writhing in agony. Gymini focused their attack on Brett’s neck. Patrick referenced Gymini’s physical confrontations with Bill DeMott and said he hoped that didn’t happen again. Brett got a sunset flip and strained for a tag. Jesse knocked Brian off the apron and dragged Brett back to the Gymini’s corner. Jake dumped Brett out over near the announcer’s table. As he pounded Brett, Jake asked Patrick, “Where’s the fat guy?” Back inside the ring, Jake dropped an elbow for a two count. Gymini used a double vertical suplex on Brett. Patrick said Gymini were rag dolling the kid. Brett escaped from Jake’s vertical suplex and nailed him with a standing dropkick to set up the hot tag. Brian alternated between cleaning house on Jake and knocking Jesse off the apron. Brian scored a long two count on Jake with a victory roll. But Jesse pulled Brian out of the ring and smashed him into the ring steps. Gymini started double teaming Brett. Jake shoved McGowan and he immediately called for the bell. Gymini tossed the Majors out of the ring like yesterday’s garbage. Sherrod said those nasty Gymini showed no respect. Patrick said Gymini weren’t interested in victory. They just wanted to beat people up.

The Inside Pulse
Closing Thoughts: The fans’ love for Deacon was as strong as ever. Melissa Coates is totally unrecognizable as the bag lady. It’s quite the bizarre storyline”¦For the second week running, the announcers and Rodimer weren’t on the same page as to how to pronounce his name (It’s ROADimer according to Rodimer). Rodimer should be getting in Sherrod’s face about something like that. Rodimer does have a unique delivery on his promos. Rodimer took everything Geezy had and then beat him with one move. Nice”¦I don’t know what to make of Geezy being presented as the hometown hero, the man designated to represent for the ATL, and then he gets beat like a drum in almost every match”¦It was great seeing Ron Simmons, although I can’t say color commentary is his strong suit”¦Majors Brothers made a good showing in their first main event. They are reminiscent of the Rockers, at least in terms of style and athleticism, but certainly not for charisma”¦Gymini picked up right where they left off before Jesse’s injury, and it looks like the Gymini/DeMott angle is back in full effect. Jake carried most of the load in the match”¦In other matches that didn’t air due to the 30 minute format Tommy Suede beat “Gangrel” David Heath and Jake Hager pinned Bully Douglas.
