WWE has released ECW “Vixen” Francine, and former Smackdown superstar (recently in OVW) Gunner Scott/Brent Albright, according to PWInsider. While there is no official reason for Francine’s release, the Wrestling Observer newsletter had previously reported that her look wasn’t in line with what WWE was going for, as she’s not as young as newer stars like 19-year-old Kelly Kelly. As far as Albright goes, WWE had sent him down to OVW since they felt he wasn’t connecting with the audience. On SD he had recorded a victory vs. Booker T and was briefly teaming up with Chris Benoit, before Benoit left for his sabbatical. In OVW, he had a long feud with CM Punk while Paul Heyman was booking the show, and was recently in a match with former tag partner Chris Masters before Masters’ call back up to RAW.
