Some news bites from around the horror world:

~ New Line has started talks on a fourth film in the Final Destination series. After three successful movies, the most recent one grossing $113 million worldwide, bringing in over $300 million worldwide in box office sales since March of 2000, it’s no surprise they are trying to keep it running.

~ The history of the Bell Witch has already spawned two films, An American Haunting and The Bell Witch Haunting, but that won’t stop movie studios from making another. Reese Witherspoon is set to take a shot at horror movies by starring in Bell Witch.

Texas Chainsaw and Amityville Horror writer Scott Kosar will pen this movie as well about a woman (Witherspoon) who begins to doubt her sanity when unexplained activity starts to haunt her. She turns her attention finally to the Bell Witch and is convinced she’s out for her baby.

~ The Ashley Judd starring horror flick Bug has been stripped of it’s December 22, 2006 release date and pushed back to an unknown time in 2007.

This comes as a bit of a surprise after the film has been very heavily promoted lately and the trailer was recently released.

~ After many zombie films such as Night Of The Living Dead, Dawn Of The Dead, and Land Of The Dead; horror mogul George A. Romero is at it again with Diary Of The Dead. Filming has just begun in Toronto about a group of film-making college students who decide to make their horror movie a bit more real once the dead begin rising from the grave…again.
