This episode was a little slow-moving, but that’s okay. Not all episodes have to be fast and have GIANT implications for the rest of the season! Still, some interesting details were revealed here. First up, the Meredith-Derek-Addison-Mark-Callie-George hexagon. Well, isn’t that ironic? Two triangles make a hexagon, but you may like to call this a “sexagon”, because sex has been involved with pretty much every member of this six-sided concoction.
Addison and Derek divide up their property for the divorce. Derek thinks it was all his fault, because he had a relationship with Meredith and Addison just had a short affair with Mark. How wrong that is as Addison tells Derek that Mark is her Meredith, if that makes any sense. That’s not a huge suprise to me, since Mark did chase Addison across the country. He must have had strong feelings for her. As for Meredith telling Derek about Finn and him having a “whatever attitude”. Don’t make a big deal about that. You have to remember, Addison just dropped a pretty big bomb on him. He didn’t know that Addison loved Mark and she just told him. So forgive Derek, if he couldn’t come back with some more than “okay”. I’m sure there will be plenty of time to address their “relationship”. The season is still young.
Did anyone else notice the bookends for this episode. That being Mark in bed with Callie and him talking after sex with Callie telling him to shut up. And then Addison in bed with Mark and doing the same thing Callie did. I enjoyed that myself. Speaking of Callie, it was so like George to not really believe that his relationship with Callie is over. I mean she didn’t really say it was over. Anyone could figure it out, and I’m sure George knew deep down. He just didn’t want to believe it was over until it was clear that it was over. Callie made it clear and now he can start to move on eventually. At least Callie didn’t tell George that they should “just be friends now”. That would have made me scream!
Izzie and the millions of dollars check. I liked the idea of opening up a hotel. In fact, we could spin-off this show with Izzie opening a hotel and have the show be set there instead of the hospital. The same sort of wacky stuff can happen in a hotel with the same amount of sex. That’s gold! I think they should do that. I think I will start writing the script for that show. Anyways back to this show. It looks like Izzie wants to be a doctor again. I applaud Burke for his speech to Izzie. She should feel bad, because she is healthy and she is doing nothing with her talent. Burke is not healthy. I don’t like Cristina covering for Burke, but that’s what a good girlfriend would do so it make me too mad.
Finally, Bailey’s “soft side”. I think she can teach people with a “soft side” just as much as she could by yelling at them. It works for me, because it’s true-to-life. People change after having a baby.
One last thing, that was an “interesting” couple of patients they had this week. Although, I think having the couple being ex-wife and ex-husband was a little too obvious seeing as Meredith and Addison were both there. Still that was a funny emergency, if there is such a thing.
