As had been reported here and many places around the net, Jeffrey Wright (Syriana, The Manchurian Candidate) had been cast as the enemy of Bruce Willis’ character John McClane. These reports are apparantly untrue, even though IMDB.com still shows Wright to star in the film.
Hollywood Reporter has stated that Timothy Olyphant (Deadwood) will now take over as the nemesis of John McClane. Olyphant’s character will be a computer expert looking to take over the country digitally.
Along with Olyphant, Mary Elizabth Winstead (Final Destination 3, Sky High) has also been cast to play McClane’s daughter Lucy in the film.
Justin Long and Maggie Q have already been signed to appear in Live Free Or Die Hard, scheduled to come out June 29, 2007.
