Harrison Ford may be 64 years old now, but he’s still “fit to continue” as the whip-toting Indiana Jones.

Ford was at the Rome Film Festival this past week and said he is very excited to be joining up with directors Steve Spielberg and George Lucas. The first three films were co-written and executive produced by Lucas while Spielberg directed.

The 4th movie has been in talks for a long time now with speculation that it may never even be made, but Ford says that speed has picked up on the script being completed and it really looks as if it’s going to happen.

“We did three films that stay within the same block of time. We need to move on for artistic reasons and obvious physical reasons,” Ford said at a news conference. “I feel fit to continue and bring the same physical action.”

Even though no offer has yet been made, rumors are also circulating of Sean Connery returning to step back into the role as Indiana Jones’ father that he played in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

“He’s part of the emotional fabric of these films. I think there may be an opportunity, I believe that Sean is still willing and I’d be delighted if he joined us,” said Ford.

No details on a release date, filming locations, or other cast members have been said simply due to the fact that the script is not completed as of yet.
