FINALLY! Clarke out of Philly

Bobbly Clarke, who hasn’t helped the Flyers do anything positive since the late 70’s, has resigned as GM and head coach Ken Hitchock was fired in the midst of the Flyers 1-6-1 start to the new season.

Hitchcock being let go comes as a bit of a surprise considering he was just signed to a contract extension. Then again, the way the Flyers have been managed by their current owner, it’s really no surprise. Hitchcock is a good coach who just had his legs cut out from under him with this move.

Now, let’s all wait and have Bill Barber brought back because that would be a move that makes no sense at all. Perfect Philly fodder.

The solution to the Flyers problems were probably former Philly scouts Dean Lombardi and Ron Hextall who left the organization this past summer to come to Los Angeles and run the Kings as GM and Co-GM.

Ooops!!
