Some potentially great news for horror fans/Stephen King fans this morning. It appears as if writing duties have been assigned to adapt the master of horror’s latest fictional work, a book titled The Cell.

It had previously been announced that Eli Roth (Hostel) would be directing. Now, Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski will be writing the script. If the names aren’t familiar to you, check out this resume of previous work: The People vs. Larry Flynt, Man on the Moon, Ed Wood, and, well, Agent Cody Banks. Some things can be looked over for the greater good.

The Cell tells the story of humanity completely breaking down after a pulse is sent through cell phones across the planet. When mankind is turned into animals with the most primal of instincts and behavior, a group bands together in order to try and survive.
