The top three matches for the next TNA PPV, Genesis, will be Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe, LAX vs. America’s Most Wanted for the NWA Tag Team belts, and Sting will defend his newly-won NWA World Heavyweight Championship against the winner of a #1 Contender’s tournament that will take place on Impact over the course of the next few weeks. As of this morning, the plan was for (highlight for potential spoiler) Christian to win the tournament and face Sting.
In other TNA news:
– Last week’s showing of Impact did a 0.8, and The Ultimate Fighter did a 1.2. Both numbers are internally considered sub-par, because UFC had the Shonie Carter/Matt Serra match and TNA had the on-air debut of Kurt Angle.
– Christopher Daniels will be facing off against Dory Funk on November 5th at the Funking Conservatory. Gail Kim will also be wrestling on that card.
– Kurt Angle has been added to two TNA house shows: November 10th in Philadelphia and November 11th in East Hartford, CT.
