Eric Bana and Terrence Howard are attached to the New Line Cinema thriller Factor X which is being seen as a potential Ridley Scott directing vehicle.
Penned by Gregory Allen Howard (Remember the Titans, Ali), it covers the real life case of the serial killer known as BTK (bind, torture and kill) who murdered people in and around Kansas from 1974-91. He was finally caught in 2005, turning out to be the mild-mannered leader at a local church.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script follows a young, black counterterrorism expert (Howard) from Washington teamed up with a Wichita police detective (Bana), who spent his career trying to chase down the killer. Along the way the expert invents a data reduction process to mathematically rule out suspects.
