Yes, this is Sunday night, and I AM writing to you. Don’t adjust your computer screens, this is still the same Reality Dish that you know and love! And even though I’m going to be talking about a MTV show here, this is not part of the MTV Mix. Why? Well this show is so BIG that it can’t be held down to a single night of the week. Yes, it’s time for the second season of Yo Momma!
If you don’t know, Yo Momma is hosted by Wilmer Valderrama. You probably know him best from That 70’s Show as the character named “Fez”. Or you may know him as the guy that dated the piece of “jailbait” named Lindsey Lohan. Or maybe as Ashton “Punk’d” Kutchner’s friend. But this show is about show is all about him looking for the best trashtalkers. The first season was based in Los Angeles.
The show is named after the many “Yo Momma is..” jokes that have become infamous. Like your mom is so fat, she sat on a rainbow and out popped some skittles! Thank you, I know that was fantastic. So really this show is like a cross between the movie 8 Mile and another TV show on MTV called Wild N’ Out. The goal is to diss the other person in the funniest ways. Whoever is the best trashtalker gets to take home $1,000 for that day. They then come back to compete for the “Best of the Week” crown against 3 other winners from that week. The winner of that week goes to the overall finals.
The second season is based in New York City. And the way this season will work is that Wilmer will going to the different areas of New York and find out the best trashtalker there at the end of one week. After that is decided, they all come back later to see who is the “Best of New York City”!
Now for the readers living in the United States like myself, you already know that this show is back. It premiered this past week. But for our friends in Canada, the second season of Yo Momma doesn’t premiere until tomorrow, Monday, October 30 on MTV Canada at 6:30 PT/ET. So to celebrate the return of this show, we at RealityDish.com, and specifically me, will be having “YO MOMMA WEEK” all this week!
Here is how the week should break down. Monday I will preview the first episode, which I have already seen, but I won’t give away too much spoilers of it for the Canadian viewers. Tuesday, I will review the first episode and then preview the rest of the week (again, not so much spoilers). Wednesday, I will profile Sam, Wilmer’s “right-hand man” on the show. Thursday, it’s all about Wilmer as I profile him. And Friday, to finish things, off we have something special planned. Maybe an interview with Sam and/or Wilmer or something else if we can’t get that done. So fasten your seatbelts and hang on tight. “YO MOMMA WEEK” is heading straight at you all this week!!
