~ An interesting story for a movie coming out sometime in 2007 is well into production, but the official site and trailer for Big Bad Wolf is now up here.

The story centers on a young college freshman, Derek, who is bullied by some of his friends to take them to his stepfathe’s cabin in the woods for a party. A werewolf shows up causing terror and wreaking havoc on the kids, but Derek believes the werewolf to be his alcoholic, abusive stepfather, so he plans to find out.

~ Rob Zombie is “reimagining” John Carpente’s famous franchise to make his own version of Halloween. Click here to watch a great 5-part interview with Zombie about all the things he has planned. He doesn’t necessarily give away the farm, but it’s still a good watch.

Halloween is tentatively scheduled to come out October 19, 2007.

~ The remake of The Hitcher has been moved forward a few months to February 9, 2007. The film will show two college students making a drive across the country until they pick up a mysterious hitchhiker who plans to make their lives miserable.

~ As reported the other day, a remake of the fake documentary, Faces Of Death is in the works and to be directed by J.T. Petty. Bloody-Disgusting.com got an exclusive quote from the director, who shed just a little light on what we can expect.

“It’s a bit early to talk too much about what the movie’s gonna be, but yeah it’ll have a story. I think I’ve got the angle on it that’ll make it really frightening and disorienting, not just gory. But everybody at Rogue and Angry seems committed to making a strange, hard movie. Very exciting.”

Very exciting indeed. The original was a documentary just showing a bunch of violence and death scenes to humans and animals alike. Word is that 95% of the film was all staged, but there are still rumors that some of the footage was legitimate.
