Travel
The teams traveled from Kuwait City, Kuwait to Mauritius. There was apparently only one combination of flights for the teams to take, so teams of course got bunched up. Once in Mauritius, teams again had some trouble finding the checkpoints. It’s somewhat disturbing that they can’t find their way around a small island, to be honest.

Detour – Salt or Sea
A luck vs. safe but slow task. If this were last season, all the teams would’ve found the correct salt shakers within 15 minutes. But instead, five teams went for Salt only to abandon it for the Sea task. Dustin and Kandice lucked out when they chose Sea, as they ended up in first.

Miscellaneous
– Two legs, two clues where teams are shown something and told “find it” without knowing where “it” is. Nice to see that they’re trying to make the teams thing just a wee bit more, instead of just saying “go here to get a clue” all the time, you know?

– It’s nice to see the Chos maintaining the “Six-Pack” alliance due to friendship, but it doesn’t mean that Tyler and James are far off the mark. They are carrying the two weakest teams a lot farther than they probably should be going. But it’s hurting them in the process.

– David and Mary are once again the beneficiaries of a non-elimination leg. And again, they’re marked for elimination. But a Fast Forward won’t help them, and it doesn’t appear that a Yield is in the cards either. Instead, we seem to have a new twist – an Intersection, which seems to be a task that requires two teams to cooperate – or compete against one another.

– Hard to say which team is less likable – Rob and Kimberly or Lyn and Karlyn. But at least with Rob and Kim you know what you’re dealing with – they wear their emotions on their sleeves. Lyn and Karlyn are short-tempered, judgemental and rude. I’m really hoping they go away soon.

– Peter and Sarah confirmed on The Finish Line that the 6 Roadblock rule is still in effect. So the fact that there was no Roadblock on this leg seems somewhat suspicious.

That’s all for this week.
