Campbell not in, Hitchock back as scout

Quick and dirty rambling.

Colin Campbell as the new GM of the Philadelphia Flyers? Sounds like a move that only the worst team in the league would think about making. Aside from that the Flyers have re-hired Ken Hithcock as a scout because that’s another step in the right direction?

Bertuzzi undergoes surgery

Tood Bertuzzi has undergone back surgery to repair a herniated disc and will miss 6-8 weeks of exciting Panthers hockey.

No worries, as Roberto Luongo isn’t faring much better in Vancouver. Currently, the Canucks have 15 points in the standings while the Panthers are sporting 14.

Thrashers and Sabres

Atlanta and Buffalo are two teams reminiscent of the 04 Lightning team that won the Stanley Cup. In the West, you have Anaheim and San Jose playing similar hockey.

It’s not a gamble to say that the Cup may end up in one of these cities for the first time ever come the end of the playoffs.

NHL on Versus
