~ Heath Ledger is set to play the Joker in the upcoming Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight due out in June 2008. Despite some negative responses to this decision from director Christopher Nolan, Ledger is excited about the chance.

“The Killing Joke was the one that was handed to me. I think it’s going to be the beginning of The Joker. I guess that book explains a little bit of where he’s from but not too much. From what I’ve gathered, there isn’t a lot of information about The Joker and its left that way.”

~ Robert Downey Jr. is already cast to play the leading role in Jon Favreau’s Iron Man which is tentatively scheduled to come out in theatres May 2, 2008 and recently spoke on his new role.

“The suit for Iron Man is so complex and does so much stuff that except for once or twice or from the chest up, I’m not required to do all that much. What I will do is a lot of motion capture so that the movement isn’t just some random stunt guy. A lot of time I look at CGI and I’m like ‘What’s the reference for this? This looks like a cartoon reference not a person.’ So I said I want to do all the motion capture work, which is like eight months after finishing shooting, but as much as it as I can do, I will.”

Preliminary photos of the Iron Man suit have popped up all over the internet, as well as some of the arsenal Downey and others could be using in the film. More will certainly become known as we get closer to the release date.

~ MTV recently advertised that on Thursday, November 9, they would be showing a sneak peek of the new Spider-Man trailer during the “Real World/Road Rules Challenge.” CBS has also now announced that it will also show the trailer on that same night.
