More on the CT show cancellation

News

TNAWresting.com has posted this message for the fans who attempted to go to the Bloomfield CT show on November 11th:

Earlier today, TNA Wrestling was forced to cancel a live event in Bloomfield, Connecticut, after police and local officials arrived without prior notification and informed TNA representatives of their decision to not allow the show to take place.

Once again, TNA Wrestling would like to apologize to all of our fans in Connecticut that came out for the event, only to be turned away from the building by police.

TNA Wrestling is still puzzled by some of the reasons given by police and local officials regarding their decision. Other wrestling groups hold shows monthly throughout Connecticut, yet they have never been forced to cancel their events.

TNA cameras were on hand throughout the day to capture footage of the incident, the video of which we hope to post in the coming days on TNAwrestling.com.

TNAwrestling.com will be posting information for our fans in Connecticut on how they can get reimbursed for their tickets.

Gary Davis, a WWE VP contacted 1wrestling.com (and TNA)’s Bob Ryder and had this to say:

“Please make clear to your readers that there is no truth to the assertion that WWE had anything to do with the cancellation of the TNA event in Bloomfield. I don’t know why the event was cancelled, but, whatever the reason, it had nothing to do with us.”

Connecticut’s building inspectors have been plenty busy the past few days. After inspecting the original site for the TNA event, another building inspector from another town (Bloomfield, CT) stated that the second building was also not suitable for a crowd the size they were expecting (approximately 800).

Regardless if the WWE had anthing to do with the shutting down of both locations of the TNA show this evening, their repuation will be left with a black eye in the eyes of the conspiracy theory rich wrestling crowd.
