Richly Deserved: The Amazing Race Episode 10-9

So with five teams left, and still a few weeks to go before the finale, you figure this will either be a non-elimination leg or a double leg. Sure enough it was the latter.

Last week, we said goodbye to David and Mary, A.K.A. Kentucky. In the days following, they received two significant gifts:
1) a spot in my coveted Reality TV Honor Roll.
2) a custom-built home and other goodies that Rosie O’Donnell presented to them on The View.

Anyway, the teams went from Madagascar to Finland, got a video email from home, cross-country skiied or ran an obstacle course in mud, carried a bike up a coal mine, and walked down the side of Helsinki’s Olympic Stadium. Since we did not have a pit-stop, we’ll just go in the order they left.

DUSTIN AND KANDICE
Asked if people in Finland wear wooden shoes? Oh boy. Continued flirting with Tyler and James while at the same time, always tried to separate themselves from them. They however continue to show proficiency at every task. And they were even tolerable this week. And kudos to them for initiating the finding of another flight from Madagascar from the Paris flight they were given. I think we can pencil them down for the final three.

TYLER AND JAMES
Never too far from the front of the pack and always carrying a good attitude, the guys will start next week’s show with the lead. Can the guys team beat a girls team at the end? I think that’s what it will come down to.

ROB AND KIMBERLEY
Rob is definitely the most irritating person left in the race. It’s a competitive race, but it requires a certain amount of composure. If Rob doesn’t realize that soon, he’ll make more navigational mistakes and you can only recover from so many of those.

EDWIN AND GODWIN
“Being polite sometimes sucks.” Well it can inconvenience you sometimes and aid you in others. The boys have survived with average ability but they’re really going to have to step it up if they’re to be a factor in the end.

LYN AND KARLYN
It’s a miracle these two are still surviving. Maybe it is the strength of knowing they’re doing this for their kids that keep them competitive. Definitely have contempt for everyone but the Chos. Nice women. But I think next week will be the last we see of them.

Next week, the remnants of the six pack start distancing themselves from each other. Hopefully that won’t distance themselves from the teams leading this race.
