“Seven Minutes to Midnight”

Chennai, India
Mohinder continues his journey, as he finds out that he had a sister who died very young, and has visions of a young boy who shows him pivotal scenes in his father’s life. So the question is – is Mohinder “special” as well.

Midland and Odessa, Texas
Did you know that Sylar was voiced by the same guy who voiced Brain in Pinky and the Brain? Rather ironic, given Sylar’s tendencies. Sylar apparently believes in the myth of eating others in order to absorb their power and knowledge.

Anyways, Midland is a scant 20 miles away from Odessa, although oddly, it’s EAST of Odessa, which probably means nothing, but I thought it was a little odd.

Meanwhile, Eden has taken Isaac to H.R.G. at his “real” job in Odessa (or thereabouts). In quotes because we don’t really know yet if the paper factory is a front for him or if he’s hunting/tracking down the metahumans on the side. He’s obviously got a benevolent reason for doing what he’s doing, but his tactics are definitely of the “ends justify the means” variety. I’m curious to see how the “heroes” react to him once they meet him. No doubt Claire will play a part in how he’s received.

And it looks like Eden has a power as well. She seems to be a telepath like “the Haitian”, but while “the Haitian” takes things away from one’s mind, Eden uses Jedi mind tricks to persuade people to do things. So the question is, did she convince Mohinder to go to India?

Los Angeles, California
Parkman has discovered that he and Ted (you think he was named after the Unabomber? No, not the poker player, the other one.) have the same RNA-ish tattoo on their neck. As yet, we don’t know what it means, but I suppose that we’re led to believe that it has something to do with H.R.G. Ted, naturally, was taken away by the higher-ups, and true to the cliché, the higher-ups mess up (since they don’t believe that he’s a human bomb… or is that a nuclear man?) and Ted goes free. Finally, we’re seeing how Parkman and Audrey tie into this whole thing – they’ll be tracking down Ted, who may or may not get eaten by Sylar, but is likely the source of the bomb that destroys New York.

No Niki, D.L., Nathan and Peter. And I don’t really mind at all.

That’s all for this week.
