WWE & MSG Update, Hogan/Austin & More

News

Some quick newsbits:

– WWE and Madison Square Garden is making a joint announcement on 11/21, with a press conference scheduled in NYC to announce that a “Tribute to the Troops” show will again be taped in Iraq, to air on Christmas Day’s RAW. Vince McMahon, Bradshaw (it’s his idea), Lillian Garcia, Carlito, Torrie Wilson and former U.S. Army Sergeant Bobby Lashley are scheduled to appear.

– Hulk Hogan was on the Bubba the Love Sponge satellite radio show this week saying he still wants to fight Steve Austin at Wrestlemania (of course, as previously reported, the current plan assuming Big Show is physically able to do it is for Hogan to face the giant commemmorating the 20th anniversary of Hogan/Andre, also in Michigan). He said he would go to TNA for the right price (something Jeff Jarrett said is impossible at a recent press conference, since Hogan’s under contract for about 200 years), and stated that the two toughest wrestlers he’s come across are Swede Hanson and Angelo Mosca, but that from the 80s era, it was Meng.

– Batista was on Smallville tonight.
